I have to give a huge shoutout to a local massage therapist, Claire Heymans Larrimans. I have serious back issues, live with chronic pain and have had my fair share of massages. I recently traveled and had a severe back pain flare up and Claire squeezed me in this morning. Her office is located in S Durham and was easy to get to and the treatment room was relaxing and beautiful. But beyond all of that was Claire's hands down most amazing massage I have ever had. She listened to all my concerns and areas I wanted addressed before beginning. She instantly made me feel comfortable and I sunk into the massage quicker than I ever have. She was able to target painful areas in a way that was both therapeutic and relaxing (which I never thought possible). She checked in with me during the massage but was really in tune with when to talk and when not to. I seriously felt like a cat and wanted to purr the whole time. I can't wait for my next massage!
I just wanted to give a shout out because as a person with a complicated back history, chronic pain and flare ups, I know finding a person that I trust and enjoy is hard. And I am THRILLED to have used Claire. I can't wait to purchase a whole freaking package! ~SG

I went for a prenatal massage (first one, third kid!) and was immediately comfortable not only with Claire but with the interactive massage I was going to receive. She listened to my concerns about my changing body and made sure I was always comfortable. It was so relaxing. ~AB
